Dismissal guidelines: alleviate carline woes

Here are some quick tips to help dismissal run smoothly and safely:

  • >Don’t park on the north side of 59th St. Parked cars left unattended create safety hazards.
  • >Keep Blaine steps and sidewalk clear so teachers may walk students to parents and cars.
  • >Don’t double park to pick up children – teachers cannot bring children to cars that are stopped in the street.
  • >Leave dogs at home.

Please share this information with anyone who is picking up your child.

First Day Events

High energy filled the hallways on September 10. U-High students were ready to return to Lab. Having read Jhumpa Lahiri’s "The Interpreter of Maladies" over the summer, students and faculty considered the book’s themes through an assembly and small group discussions. To complement the book’s focus on culture, everyone enjoyed a lunch of Asian and South Asian foods. The day concluded with a second assembly, sponsored by Student Government, featuring the Jesse White tumblers.
